What is the additive manufacturing workshop?
The goal of the Additive Manufacturing workshop at IMTS is to bring together manufacturing professionals who are interested in or are already applying additive manufacturing as a production resource. More than a 3D printing seminar, this workshop will focus on industrial applications of additive technologies for making functional components and end-use production parts.
Our partner in hosting the workshop is Oak Ridge National Laboratory, a leader in additive manufacturing process development. Serving various industries, the Oak Ridge National Laboratory additive manufacturing team applies its machine capacity and application expertise toward helping U.S. manufacturers make better use of additive technology, and more fully realize the unique advantages of this approach to production.
The half-day workshop is co-located with the IMTS (International Manufacturing and Technology Show), and with your AM Workshop badge, you'll also have full access to the IMTS Show Floor.
Location: McCormick Place, West Hall
Time: 12:00pm – 5:00pm

The AM workshop will take place the day before the TRAM (Trends in Advanced Machining, Manufacturing and Materials) conference. Attendees to the AM Workshop will be invited to a special networking event that will include speakers from the AM Workshop and TRAM, as well as some selected VIP’s from the industry. It will be a great opportunity to mingle with other show owners, industry experts, suppliers and media personnel.
